Grilled Peach Skewers
Everything tastes better when you eat it off a stick, and salads are no exception. Adding a little of our Bourbon & Smokey Bacon BBQ Sauce to juicy, sweet summer peaches elevates this appetizer to the next level of taste sophistication.

- Bourbon & Smokey Bacon BBQ Sauce
- 6 peaches (ripe but still firm)
- 4oz sliced prosciutto
- 4oz fresh mozzarella
- Wooden canape skewers / cocktail sticks
Heat your grill to a medium and steady heat
Halve and pit the peaches by running a knife along their seams and twisting them in half. Leaving the skins on, place onto the hot grill, cut side down and leave for 4 minutes until they mark and soften slightly. Turn and do the same on the skin side. Remove and set aside to cool.
Prepare the other ingredients; drain the mozzarella, wash the arugula, unwrap the prosciutto, pour 2 tablespoons of sauce onto a plate.
Peel and slice the cooled peach halves into wedges
Stack your skewer! Start with a peach, then a folded sliver of prosciutto, then a basil and arugula leaf then top with a mozzarella ball.
Use a basting brush to add a splash of Bourbon & Smokey Bacon BBQ sauce to the cheese on top of each completed skewer.
Repeat building skewers until all the ingredients are used (this recipe also works well as a salad should you have leftover ingredients)
